MS WORD – Introduction to Word :  Thursdays Jan 22, 29, & Feb 05,2026 | 1-3pm  Are You ready to learn something else you can do with your computer? Do you want to create documents that look great? Have you figured out how to use MS Word but think there must be easier ways to use it?? Discover the basics of creating MS Word documents including: – Entering and editing text – Creating, saving, and editing Word files – Printing documents – Formatting your text – Spelling and grammar checks – Aligning paragraphs – Adding and editing pictures and clipart If you have taken Computer Basics 1 or have a GOOD working knowledge of Windows and want to learn more, join us for this fun class. MS EXCEL – Introduction to MS EXCEL : Thursdays Feb 12, 19 & 26 | 1-3pm Have you tried using MS Excel and been lost and overwhelmed by it? Do You have a spreadsheet you are expected to use and maintain? Do You want to be more efficient and confident using Excel? Join this class!! You will learn how to use Microsoft’s spreadsheet program, MS Excel, to create, save, and edit spreadsheet files; to enter and edit information; create basic formulas; use basic Functions like SUM; and attractively format and print your spreadsheet. You will learn to use Excel while creating a membership list that will track members, their contact information, membership fees, fees for supplies, discounts, GST, and total amounts.**A GOOD working knowledge of MS Word before taking this course will make learning Excel MUCH easier. Bring a jump drive or memory stick to the class to save your document onto. $50

Digital Skills/Tech Classes: Basic Zoom Tools For Beginners:  $10 Are you new to zoom? Have you been interested in participating in online learning opportunities but need some basic skills to feel more comfortable? Topics Covered:

  • Joining a meeting on your device
  • Basic Zoom Tools : using the Microphone and Video Camera, Your Name, Participants Box, Chat Box, Raising and Lowering Your Hand, Reactions, Annotate
  • Leaving a meeting Contact LAL to book your online 1-1 session.

Computer Essentials 1: Technology, Terminology, Windows 11, Files &Folders  DATES TBD  – Leduc Public Library 1-3 p.m.   *3 session class Are you new to computers or unsure how to use the one you have?  Computers can be overwhelming to the new user so let us introduce you to the basics of how a computer works. During the 3 sessions, students of all ages will learn hands-on computer skills and will get a better understanding of computers and how they can help you in your daily life. You will learn about the keyboard, the mouse, computer terminology, the components of your computer, and how to use the Windows 11 operating system including how to organize your files with folders and how to search your computer for your files and programs. $50

Computer Essentials 2: Intro to Internet and Email   DATES TBD – Leduc Public Library 1-3 p.m.    *3 session class Continue to build on your understanding of your computer by exploring the Internet and Email systems.  Join us to discover the World Wide Web and how to “Surf the Net”.  It can open a whole new library of information and uses for your computer.  You will learn web browsers, search engines and web sites so you can find what you are looking for as well as how to create mailing lists with attachments.  Please bring your email address and password with you to class. $50

Computer Essentials 3: Technology Safety and Security  DATES TBD  – Leduc Public Library 1-3 p.m.  *3 session class Are You ready to learn more about technology and your computer? Do you have questions about what you’ve learned in Essentials 1 and 2? Do you have new questions now that you’re using your computer more? Now that you’re more comfortable with technology, let’s learn about how to use it safely and keep you and your information secure. If you have taken Computer Essentials 1 and 2 or have a GOOD working knowledge of Windows and want to learn more, join us for this fun session $50  

 Essentials Review/iPhone and iPad Support Sessions DATES TBD  (these are1 hour 1-1 sessions and need to be booked with LAL)  Have you taken the Essentials Classes and need some additional support? Does your Apple iPhone confuse and frustrate you?? Do you wish you were more comfortable using your Apple iPad? Do you wish you could get your list of questions about your devices answered??  Bring your iPhone and/or iPad, your of list questions, and a notebook to the Sessions!! $40
